If this is your first time logging into the BookingMeta system, you will need to do some configuration in advance.
Note: It takes about 2 minutes to read this article.
Pre-configured information:
- Set your default currency
- Set your default timezone
- Set your retail price plan
- Set your contact information, bank account number, etc.
Set your default currency
You may have your agents all over the world conducting multi-currency business with you. You can set a default currency in the system in advance. Subsequently, when you use order amount statistics and other related functions, the system will convert those different currencies in sales and purchases, unifying them into the default currency you set.
System Setting -> Global Setting:
The BookingMeta system offers a total of over 40 currencies around the world.
Note:The default currency settings here are for your reference only, while actual agents and suppliers can set different settlement currencies.
See ISO4217 for the list of currencies supported by the system for details.
Set your default timezone
You can set your city here and the system will set the corresponding UTC timezone. After setting default timezone, the time information (eg. the time when agents place the order, the time when operators complete the booking, etc.) will be displayed in the default timezone. You can also modify this default timezone after setting it.
To find out which timezone your city is in, please see: Information about Timezone in Wikipedia.
It's also okay if your city has DST (daylight saving time). The system will automatically calculate DST.
Set your retail price plan
BookingMeta offers a range of pricing strategies to help you with your B2B and B2C business. However, if you somehow missed the price setting for an item and do not want to sell it at the unit purchase price, you can set a conservative retail price plan in the global settings.
System Setting -> Global Setting:
The 20 filled in here means that 20% will be added to the unit purchase price as an offer. If you have set certain price plans for agents or guests, the price plan you set will be used in preference to the retail price plan here.
Set your contact information, bank account number, etc.
Here you can set in advance your contact phone number, the email used for booking, and the bank account information for agents' offline transfers. Once set up, this contact information will be displayed on your front-end website.
System Setting -> Web Portal Setting: you can set your logo, contact information, and online support information here.
Notes:
- 1. The system enables different logos and contents with PC access and Mobile access . If you want to set the same contents, please set it twice separately.
- 2. If you want the frontend alteration to come into use immediately after setting, please make sure to click "Save and Publish". If you click "Save Only", the system will save your settings, but they will not take effect immediately in the frontend.
Some additional settings
- Set the timeout for front-end payments
- Set the order auto-completion strategy
