The coupon feature is a marketing tool that promotes increased sales of products by sending coupons to customers.

Create Coupon
In the menu Marketing-->Coupon-->New Coupons, you can quickly create a batch of coupon.
The information of a batch of coupons mainly consists of 4 parts: Basic Information, Discount Rules, Rules for Coupon Codes and Scope of application.
Basic information description
Coupon Name: The coupon needs to have a name so that you and your customers can know what coupon it is, the name supports multiple languages, if you need more than one language version, you need to configure the coupon name in multiple different languages.
Coupon description: the coupon description is used by your team to mark the coupon usage internally, customers can't see this information.
Coupon id: created automatically by the system, you don't need to set it.
Discount Rules description
Discount Rules mean that these coupons can reduce the amount of the order for the customer rules, set the rules must be careful not to set up errors resulting in $0 orders. In order to avoid setting mistakes, it is strongly recommended that you place an order every time after you create a coupon that to verify whether the coupon rules are consistent with the expected ones, and then issue these coupons to the customers.
Currently, BookingMeta coupon system supports the following 4 types of discounts:
- Instant Reduction: unconditionally reduce a fixed amount for an order. For example, all orders using coupons are reduced by 3.5 USD. The setting method can be referred to in the following picture:
- Conditional Reduction: The order amount can be reduced by a fixed amount when the order amount reaches the specified conditions. For example, only orders with an order amount of 100 USD or more can use this coupon to reduce 10 USD. The setting method can be referred to in the following picture:
Orders of 102 USD can use this coupon to get 10 USD off, and customers only need to pay 92 USD after the discount. while orders of 98 USD can not use this coupon, and customers can only pay 98 USD in full.
- Instant Discount:Unconditionally gives the order a reduction in the amount calculated by the discount percentage factor. For example, all orders using the coupon will be reduced by 5%, 100 USD orders can be reduced by 100*5%=5 USD, while 300 USD orders can be reduced by 300*5%=15 USD. The setting method can be referred to in the following picture:
- Conditional Discount:When the order amount reaches the specified conditions, the amount calculated by the discount percentage factor can be reduced. For example, only orders of 100 USD or more can use this coupon for a 10% reduction.The setting method can be referred to in the following picture:
Customers with a 100 USD order can use this coupon to reduce 100*10%=10 USD, and only need to pay 90 USD after the discount.And customers with a 95 USD order can't use this coupon, and can only pay 95 USD in full.
Tip: For Instant Discount coupons and Conditional Discount coupons which need to be calculated to determine the amount of reduction, you can set a maximum reduction amount limit to avoid the actual reduction amount is too huge. As shown in the picture below:
Rules for Coupon Codes description
Rules for Coupon Codes section sets the coupon code and quantity of this batch of coupons, you can customize a coupon code or click on the "Generate a random code" button by the system to automatically create a coupon code, coupon code can not be repeated, you can set according to the actual need.
Tip: The number of times a coupon code is written off refers to the total number of times all customers can use this batch of coupons, the system only controls the total number of times and does not limit the number of times an individual customer can use a coupon code. Each time an order is generated that contains a coupon, the coupon will be written off, regardless of whether the order is completed or refunded, the written off coupon will not be refunded.
Scope of application description
You can set up a specific scope of application for each batch of coupons. Customers can use this batch of coupons to get order amount reduction only if it meets the applicable conditions you set up, which include: order time restriction, trip date restriction and limited product range. Here are some reference setting methods:
- Set up order time restriction conditions, such as setting that the coupon can only be used during Christmas and New Year's Day and New Year's Day.
- Set a travel date restriction, for example, set an order to travel in January 2024 to be able to use the coupon.
- Coupons can be used on individual products only.
Select the products that allow coupons from all the products in the left window to the right window and confirm.
Flip the switch to further select the packages for which coupons can be used. Please note:In this case, if a new package is added to the product subsequently, the new package will be excluded from the coupon-capable packages by default.
- Coupons can be used on most products, but are prohibited on certain products.
Select the products that prohibit the use of coupons from all the products in the left window to get them to the right window and confirm.
Similarly, turn on the switch to further select the packages that is prohibited from coupons. Please note:In this case, if new packages are added to the product subsequently, the new packages will be excluded from the prohibited coupon packages by default.
Issuing and using coupons
After successfully creating a batch of coupons, you will see the batch of coupons you just created in your own coupon list. You can manage each batch of coupons in the list, including disabling, enabling, viewing and other operations.
If you want to edit a particular batch of coupons, you can click on View and then go to the coupon details page and click on the Edit button in the upper right corner to edit. Note that you can only edit part of the coupon information such as name, description, usage range, etc. Other important information cannot be edited.
If you want to edit important information such as discount rules, coupon code rules, etc., it is recommended that you create another batch of coupons.
If you want to issue these coupons, you can copy the coupon code first and then inform your customers about the coupon code through offline.
Please note that before issuing the coupon code, please turn on the portal coupon switch in System Settings->Global Configuration so that portal users can use the coupon. If there are no unforeseen circumstances, please keep this switch on all the time.
Customers who get the coupon code can enter the coupon code at the bottom of the page where the portal places the order and verify whether they can get the order discount, if the coupon code entered is correct and the product and order meet the conditions of the coupon, then the customer will be able to see the specific information about the amount of reduction that can be obtained and get the reduction of the order amount.
Checking Coupon Usage Records
In the coupon list you can view the write-off record of a certain batch of coupons, you can also click on the write-off record in the menu to check the write-off record of any batch of your coupons.
